Shanghai: “International Conference on China, Europe and the United States in the Changing International Landscape” (Presentations)

On the occasion of the CGS’s long-standing cooperation with the Tongji University, the scientists of the Center for Global Studies will again take part in two conferences in Shanghai this year.

On September 28, the Tongji University hosts the “International Conference on China, Europe and the United States in the Changing International Landscape”.

Professor Xuewu Gu will give a lecture entitled “A More Independent Europe and Its Challenges for China and the US”.
Dr. Andrej Pustovitovskij will talk about “17+1 between Brussel, Beijing and Washington – Who’s Structural Power?”.
Dr. Hendrik W. Ohnesorge presents “It’s the Personality – The Influence of Political Leaders on the Trilateral Relationship in the 21st Century”.
Dr. Ying Huang will speak about “The Influence of the US-Chinese Trade War on the EU”.
Christiane Heidbrink presents the “Trilateral Perspectives on Belt and Road: Security Dimensions”.
Philip Nock will give a lecture on the “Thucydides Trap, Sino-US Rivalry and European Responses”.Prof. Dr. Ludger Kühnhardt, Director at the Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) at the University of Bonn, will give a lecture entitled “The New Geopolitical Environment for Europe”.
