Critical Security Studies

How are global perceptions of security changing? Security studies are a vast conglomerate of very different sub-disciplines and topics. The Center for Global Studies focuses particularly on the connection between security and power capacities (such as military forces, economic strength, etc.), but also on the impact of these relative power shifts on perceptions of security. Particularly the rise of China and the perceived decline of the United States of America are a highly controversial issue altering the global dynamics and perceptions of security. Further areas of interest include but are not limited to the US-Iranian relations, Internet governance or the impact of 5G-technology.
