(Academic) education / CV:
Max Mutschler holds a Magister Artium (MA) in Political Science and History and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Tübingen.
From 2007 to 2009 he was a lecturer and research associate at the University of Tübingen’s Institute of Political Science, and a visiting researcher at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) in Vienna in 2010.
From May 2012 until March 2014, Max Mutschler was research associate in the Americas Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. From April to December 2014, he was special assistant to the Director of SWP.
Max Mutschler has been a member of the expert group on arms exports of the Joint Conference Church and Development (GKKE) since 2009 and has contributed to the annual publication of the Arms Export Report of the GKKE.
